i am marisa haws!!! i love to cook. i am a stay at home mom who has a needy husband, totally joking. but he does enjoy home cooked meals for dinner, which i love because they are much better than fast food or take out. i love to bake as well i am always trying new recipes, and trying to create my own yummy creations... i figured i would share all my recipes with you all, and if you have any that are yummy, let me know and i will add yours with your name attached!! i love to give and recieve new recipes all the time, especially if they are simple!!!

Doughnuts

This recipe is my mother in laws. we love them!!!
what you'll need:
1 quart water
1 1/3 cups sugar
2/3 cup shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup potato flakes
3 Tbs. yeast
mix^
10-12 cups flour
1/2 nutmeg
3 eggs

mix everything but flour, eggs, &nutmeg... sift in flour nad nutmeg, then beat in the eggs

let raise
 roll out to quarter inch thick sheet and cut out doughnut and doughnut holes

let those raise, fry them in a sauce pan,  let them sit, glaze while warm.

Pizza dough

my son brennen loves pizza, so this one i do with him.








What you'll need:
group A;
1(.25oz) pckg. of active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
group B;
2 cups flour
2 Tbs. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar

combine group A,   let sit for ten minutes.
combine group B in large bowl.
combine all together. and knead very well. til stiff.
let rise, double size. (30 minutes)

you will bake (with all toppings) @350*  for 20 minutes

Frosting and Glaze

i use this glaze for sugar cookies, cinnamon rolls,  and doughnuts








what you'll need:
2 lbs powder sugar
2 Tbs. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbs. milk... add more as it thins

mix well.
chill.
for maple frosting (for cinnamon rolls, or doughnuts)
add 1 Tbs. maple

and for peanut butter flavor (i like it with my cinnamon rolls :)
add 1 Tbs. creamy peanut butter.

Rice crispies treats

I cant take credit for these, i got the pecipe from the rice crispy box.
but i love them !!!!







what you'll need:
3 tbs. butter
4 cups or 10 oz. pack of mini mallows. or 45 jumbo ones
6 cups rice crispies

melt butter and mallows in a large sauce pan, remove from heat, and stir in rice crispies, mix well and pour into flat cookie sheet. or 13x9 pan if you like them thick.

Toffee (Chocolate covered)

this is a old recipe that my mom used to make with us as kids... we loved waiting for the chocolate to melt and dipping our fingers in it... my personal favorite was taking the hammer to it when it was ready to go.






what you'll need:
1 cup sugar
1 cup real butter
1 Tbs. corn syrup
chocolate chips
candy thermometer

melt butter. add sugar, water, and syrup. stirring, heat til about 290*
pour into greased 13x9 pan, let spread by it self. sprinkle chocolate chips over while hot... let melt about 2 minuts, then spread with knife. let cool completely, chocolate chips will harden.
break with hands or hammer gently.

Milk Chocolate Fudge

Tis is kemers aunts recipe, and one i love to make... so yummy.










What you'll need:
group A;
3 cups sugar
1 cup cream
1 cup butter

group B;
2 cups milk choco chips
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups mini marshmallows


cook group A til soft ball stage/ 240*
remove from heat and quikely stir in group B. pour into 13x9 pan and let cool for about an hour.
cut and serve

Caramel Popcorn Balls

these are perfect for holliday gifts.








*Caramel*
what you'll need:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup karo syrup

stir til boiling, stop stirring let boil for 2 minutes.
pour over unbuttered popcorn and stir.
let cool.

Caramel Squares

 
This is my aunt Adrienne Morris' recipe, but i love it!!!







what you'll need:
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
one candy thermometer

mix all and heat to soft ball stage/ 240*
remove from heat
pour into 9x13 greased pan
let cool for 3 hours
cut and wrap with wax paper.

Cinnamon rolls

these are super yummy, and i always put a maple glaze on mine.










make the bread dough(last post)
rollout  into 1/2 inch flat.
spread soft butter all over.
sprinkle brownsugar, cinnamon, and sugar. all over.(as much as you like)
roll into a bar. cut 1 inch thick slices
lay loosely into greased pan. bake @425 for 20 minutes.
glaze while hot.
enjoy!!!!

Bread/Roll dough

you can make rolls, bread, cinnamon rolls... any yummy treat with this dough.








6 cups hot water(HOT but not to burn your finger)
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 Tbs. salt
4 Tbs. yeast
12-15 cups flour

mix everything but flour in a big cup... let bubble.
in large bowl of flour, add the cup of mix
kneed with hands til thick
start with the least amount of flour so it wont be too thick for you... add flour as needed
knead, knead, knead

to make rolls,
make 1 1/2 inch balls.put in greased pan(loose fitting, dont stuff full)
bake at 425* for 20 minutes(or until golden brown)

Sloppy joe -slop-a sloppy joe !!! :)

We love to eat our sloppy joes bun open with a fork and meat on both side of the bun... with cheese melted on top.






1 lbs. browned hamburger
1 can tomato soup
1/2 can tomato paste
buns :)


mix everything on heat. serve over/ in a bun
we add cheese and sometimes bacon.

Family Stroganough

this dish is a family(in laws) recipe that is one of my hasbands favorites.






1 lbs. browned hamburger
1 small can cream of mushroom soup
16 oz. sour cream
cooked egg noodles


mix creams and burger. heat to boil, serve over cooked noodles

chicken stove top casarole

thsi is super easy and cheap.







what you'll need:
7 chicken thighs or 4 breasts cooked& shredded
16 oz. sour cream
10 oz. cream of chicken
2 boxes of chicken stove top (cooked by box directions)
layer

in 13x9 pan layer shredded chicken and mixed creams then pour stove top over the top.
bake @ 350* 20 mins.

Simple MeatLoaf

this is simple and fillign perfect for family.


this is per 1 lbs ground beef






1 lbs ground beef
2 eggs
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 cup oat meal
mix well
pinch of salt and pepper

loaf into greased bread pan. top with ketchup.
cook at 425* for 45mins to 1 hour

Deep Fry Batter. (onion rings or chicken)

this batter can be used for any deep frying and is so simple. and delish.







1 sleeve crushed ritz crackers(original)
1 cup self rising flour
1 egg
1+ cup milk add depending on thickness
mix well.

some good idea's:
onion rings
chicken
fish
many more.

white morsel chocolate cookies

these are the bomb!!!!!








what you'll need:
group A;
1 cup butter(2 sticks)
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
 group B;
2 1/4 cup flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

mix group A, combine in group B.
mix in 2 cups white chocolate morsel chips
bake @ 350* for 9 minutes
let cool for 5 mins.

choco. chip (with oatmeal) cookies

these are my mother in laws recipe... which i love!!!!
so dang yummy










what you'll need:
group A;
2 cups shortening
1 cup suger
1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs

group B;
2 tsp. baking soda
3 cups flour
3 cups oatmeals
2 tsp. vanilla
1tsp. salt


mix group A, add gradually group B.
then stir in 2 cups chocolate chips, and 1 cup coconut

chill
then bake @ 350* for 8 mins.
let cool

M'n'M Cookies

i love to freeze these once they are cooked, so good.











what you'll need:
group A;
2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 cup brown sugar
2 Tsp vanilla

group B;
4 eggs
5 cups flour
2 tsp. baling soda
2 tsp. salt
3 cups m'n'ms

mix group A, then gradually add broup B.
then stir in(with spoon) m'n'ms
bake at 350* for 8 minutes
let cool for 5 minutes

Sweet (barbacoa) pork

This one is not my personal recipe, but its one that i love.





what you'll need:
5 lbs. pork roast (leanest)
21 oz. of cola (coke, dr. pepper, pepsi pick your fav.)
1 Cup brown sugar
7 oz. can chilles in adobo
10 oz can old elpaso enchalada sauce
2 Tbs. minced garlic
1 tsp. dry mustard(i dont add this, not a mustard fan)
1 tsp. cummin(less if you dont want spice)


put chilles in strainer/seive  while holding over slowcooker/crockpot, pour cola over to get all the juices off the chilles then discard chillesadd the rest of the ingredients and mix well. then add roast.
cook for 5-6 hours on high
then shred meat and cook 3 more hours on medium
meat will be a mahogany color.
