i am marisa haws!!! i love to cook. i am a stay at home mom who has a needy husband, totally joking. but he does enjoy home cooked meals for dinner, which i love because they are much better than fast food or take out. i love to bake as well i am always trying new recipes, and trying to create my own yummy creations... i figured i would share all my recipes with you all, and if you have any that are yummy, let me know and i will add yours with your name attached!! i love to give and recieve new recipes all the time, especially if they are simple!!!

sour cream (Sugar) Cookies (cookie cutters)










mix
2 cups shortening
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
4 tsp vanilla

add in
2 cups sour cream
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt (or less)
2 tsp soda


mix well then sift in 10 cups of flour. might need to start using hands
 let chill for 1 hour
roll out and cut
bake for 7-9 minutes depending on thickness at 375*

Doughnuts

This recipe is my mother in laws. we love them!!!
what you'll need:
1 quart water
1 1/3 cups sugar
2/3 cup shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup potato flakes
3 Tbs. yeast
mix^
10-12 cups flour
1/2 nutmeg
3 eggs

mix everything but flour, eggs, &nutmeg... sift in flour nad nutmeg, then beat in the eggs

let raise
 roll out to quarter inch thick sheet and cut out doughnut and doughnut holes

let those raise, fry them in a sauce pan,  let them sit, glaze while warm.

Pizza dough

my son brennen loves pizza, so this one i do with him.








What you'll need:
group A;
1(.25oz) pckg. of active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
group B;
2 cups flour
2 Tbs. olive oil
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar

combine group A,   let sit for ten minutes.
combine group B in large bowl.
combine all together. and knead very well. til stiff.
let rise, double size. (30 minutes)

you will bake (with all toppings) @350*  for 20 minutes

Frosting and Glaze

i use this glaze for sugar cookies, cinnamon rolls,  and doughnuts








what you'll need:
2 lbs powder sugar
2 Tbs. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbs. milk... add more as it thins

mix well.
chill.
for maple frosting (for cinnamon rolls, or doughnuts)
add 1 Tbs. maple

and for peanut butter flavor (i like it with my cinnamon rolls :)
add 1 Tbs. creamy peanut butter.

Rice crispies treats

I cant take credit for these, i got the pecipe from the rice crispy box.
but i love them !!!!







what you'll need:
3 tbs. butter
4 cups or 10 oz. pack of mini mallows. or 45 jumbo ones
6 cups rice crispies

melt butter and mallows in a large sauce pan, remove from heat, and stir in rice crispies, mix well and pour into flat cookie sheet. or 13x9 pan if you like them thick.

Toffee (Chocolate covered)

this is a old recipe that my mom used to make with us as kids... we loved waiting for the chocolate to melt and dipping our fingers in it... my personal favorite was taking the hammer to it when it was ready to go.






what you'll need:
1 cup sugar
1 cup real butter
1 Tbs. corn syrup
chocolate chips
candy thermometer

melt butter. add sugar, water, and syrup. stirring, heat til about 290*
pour into greased 13x9 pan, let spread by it self. sprinkle chocolate chips over while hot... let melt about 2 minuts, then spread with knife. let cool completely, chocolate chips will harden.
break with hands or hammer gently.

Milk Chocolate Fudge

Tis is kemers aunts recipe, and one i love to make... so yummy.










What you'll need:
group A;
3 cups sugar
1 cup cream
1 cup butter

group B;
2 cups milk choco chips
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups mini marshmallows


cook group A til soft ball stage/ 240*
remove from heat and quikely stir in group B. pour into 13x9 pan and let cool for about an hour.
cut and serve
